Private policy
Commitment:
General Data Protection Regulation adopted by the European Union ("GDPR") came into force on May 25, 2018. It marks a new stage in the strengthening of individuals personal data protection.
In this context, PASCALEO has adopted a data protection policy based on the fundamental principles of the General Data Protection Regulation adopted by the European Union ("GDPR").
This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data:
- For users of this website
- For participants in our market research studies
For users of this website (www.pascaleo.com) :
Personal data management:
On the www.pascaleo.com website, users can register by providing personal data. Personal data transmitted to the data controller are determined by the input mask used during registration. The user provides this information with full knowledge of the facts, in particular when he or she enters it himself or herself. The user of the www.pascaleo.com website is then informed whether or not he/she is obliged to provide this information.
Personal data entered by the individual are collected and stored exclusively for the internal use of the data controller and for the individual's own purposes. The data controller may transfer the data to one or more subcontractors, for example a field study department, which also uses personal data exclusively for the data controller's own internal use.
No personal information relating to the www.pascaleo.com website user is published, exchanged, transferred, ceded or sold on any medium whatsoever to third parties without the user’s knowledge.
PASCALEO has implemented appropriate physical, electronic and administrative procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Access to the user's personal data is restricted to those employees who need it to perform their duties. However, we cannot guarantee that all communications between us or information stored on our servers will be free from unauthorized access by third parties such as hackers. Your use of our services implies that you assume this risk.
The use of cookies on www.pascaleo.com
We use these cookies to determine the kind of content and services our visitors value most, which in turn helps us to improve our website and its content.
The www.pascaleo.com website collects a series of general data and information each time a person or an automated system accesses the website. This general data and information is stored in secure server files. We may record the types and versions of browsers used, the operating system used by the accessing system, the website from which an accessing system reaches our website, the sub-websites that can be accessed via an accessing system on our website, the date and time of access to the website, an Internet Protocol (IP) address, the accessing system's Internet service providers, and other similar data and information used for security purposes.
For participants in our market research studies:
PASCALEO guarantees strict respect for the confidentiality of respondents in all its research surveys, whether administered by telephone, internet, face-to-face or by post:
PASCALEO has adopted a data protection policy based on the fundamental principles of the GDPR and the ASOCS (Association of companies that conduct studies on opinion and behavior in the healthcare field - www.asocs.info) Code of Practice
The respondents participating in a PASCALEO study must be entirely voluntary at all stages. Respondents must not be misled in any way when asked for their cooperation.
The respondent has the right to terminate the interview at any time and to refuse further participation. At the respondent's request, all or part of the information collected from or about the respondent must be destroyed immediately.
As a preliminary to all our surveys, we introduce ourselves and announce the purpose of the study. The aim of the survey is never a commercial one with regard to the respondents; our role is not to carry out advertising, direct marketing or direct sales.
Constitution of samples and completion of a questionnaire:
We conduct our surveys either through our client contacts or via random sampling (to ensure perfect representativeness of the study) from a directory database provided by a specialist service provider.
Our telephone interviewers undergo extensive training and monitoring of their work. A supervisor may listen in on the telephone survey for quality control or interviewer training purposes.
Occasionally, with the exception of self-administered surveys (by internet or mail), we may contact some respondents again after their initial interview for the following purposes:
- Clarifying certain responses,
- Documentation of a case of pharmacovigilance,
- Or quality control of the work conducted by the investigator.
Data from the survey:
PASCALEO undertakes to use the information collected only in the context of performing the work required by its clients.
In cases where the survey is administered from a contact file provided by the survey sponsor, PASCALEO will only use this contact information for the purposes of the survey in question and will only retain it for as long as is necessary to carry out the specific analyses. It is then destroyed. We have established minimum and maximum retention periods as well as procedures for storing and destroying your personal information.
In accordance with Article 40 of the French Data Protection Act, a respondent may at any time contact the study agent to exercise his or her right to access and rectify personal data.
For some surveys, we may ask respondents for their consent to provide part of their answers and their personal details to the study sponsor (for example in the context of a pharmacovigilance case). In the case where the respondent chooses to remain anonymous, their answers are processed in a strictly statistical manner, the study agent then only receives reports with aggregated data that do not identify the individual answers of those who wished to remain anonymous.
The security measures implemented to protect the personal data of website users or respondents to Pascaleo market research studies...
PASCALEO has implemented appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
Data retention and destruction policy
PASCALEO only retains your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and the applicable legal requirements.
Your legal rights if you are in the EU:
If you are a citizen or resident of the EU, you have the right to:
Request access to your personal data. This entitles you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold on you and to check that we are processing it in accordance with the law.
Request correction of the personal data we hold on you. This allows you to request correction of your data if it is incomplete or inaccurate, although we may need to verify the validity of the new data provided.
Request erasure of your personal data. This allows you to ask us to delete or remove personal data if we have no valid reason to hold it any longer. You also have the right to ask us to erase or delete your personal data where you have acquired the right to object to its processing, where we have processed your information unlawfully or where we are obliged to delete your personal data in accordance with local law. However, please note that we may not always be able to comply with your request for deletion on certain legal grounds which will be notified to you, if necessary, at the time of your request.
Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on these grounds as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.
Request restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data (in case of a dispute).
Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent.
No fees are charged in general
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
What we may require of you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.
Response time
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
You can access all these rights by sending an email to: dpo@pascaleo.com.
